Water Expansion Project
Your Perry County rural water suppliers (And-Tro Water Authority and Troy Township Water Association) and your local officials are working together to provide expansion of our water lines into unserved and underserved areas of Perry County. Provided below is updates and ways for the public to provide assistance.
Water Expansion Survey
We are conducting another survey, in hopes to receive a higher response on where water is needed in our county. We are asking you to fill it out again, even if you filled it out in Fall 2021, to provide name, service address and phone number. These will all be recorded on a map to gage interest in each area. Please fill out the survey via the link below.
Water Expansion Survey 2021
We have taken responses from our survey conducted in Fall of 2021 and placed them on a map to gage interest in each area. The same will be done with the current survey.
Our Target Cost of Water
At this time, our targeted cost for providing 4,000 gallons of water per month would be approximately $60.00.
ARP (American Rescue Plan) Advisory Committee
Perry County American Rescue Plan (ARP) Advisory Committee has recommended setting aside $500,000 of the $3.7 million of the ARP funds the county received.
Factors to consider when expanding
Starts with hearing from you and your neighbors to identify where water services are needed throughout the county.
We are applying for funding at the local, state and federal levels.
Factors that affect cost of water
- Cost of project
- Amount of funding secured
- Number of customers tapping into the water system
